On the occasion of the back-to-school season on 05 September 2024, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited and Wind Power Hoa Dong Company Limited awarded 20 scholarships and donated 2.500 notebooks to the underprivileged students in Hoa Dong Commune, Vinh Chau district, Soc Trang Province.

Back-to-school day on 05 September 2024, brought double the joy to the underprivileged students in Hoa Dong Commune, Soc Trang Province. Amid the excitement of returning to school, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited and Wind Power Hoa Dong Company Limited partnered to award 20 scholarships, each worth VND 500,000, and donated 2,500 notebooks to local disadvantaged students. The event, held at Hoa Dong Secondary School and accompanied by the resounding  school drums, received enthusiastic support from the Hoa Dong Commune People’s Committee and the local community in Hoa Dong Commune, Vinh Chau district, Soc Trang Province.

Each scholarship and gift not only reflects the the company’s management’s deep commitment to supporting local education but also serves as a tangible  encouragement for underprivileged students to continue their studies. On 30 December 2023, Lac Hoa Wind Power Plant which is situated in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, Viet Nam has been officially in commercial operation (COD).

This event marks an important milestone of Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited, as it has successfully completed the construction of Lac Hoa Wind Power Plant, with a total installed capacity of 30 MW. The plant, located on a 9.6 hectares site in the sun-drenched, windy Hoa Dong commune, Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, represents an investment of approximately 1,600 billion dong.

Once operational, the Lac Dong Wind Power Plant is expected to generate an annual electricity output of up to 112.323 GWh. This will enhance the reliability of the electricity supply and reduce power losses, supporting the rapid socio-economic development of Soc Trang province and its neighboring areas in the coming years.

To achieve this significant milestone, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited formed a dedicated renewable energy project management team to manage, oversee projects while collaborate seamlessly with global leaders such as Vestas, a global leading wind turbine supplier.

Moreover, the Lac Hoa Wind Power Plant notably stands as a testament to the increasing capabilities of domestic renewable energy contractors. Thanh Dat Power Construction Designing Consulting Company Limited was responsible for the plant’s substation installation, while FECON Corporation handled the turbine foundation construction, both of which met the high standards for quality and adhered to the project’s timeline.

 

On May 14, 2023, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited successfully energized the substation 110kV of Lac Hoa Wind Power Plant (WPP) Project (30 MW) in Lac Hoa Commune, Vinh Chau Town, Soc Trang Province. This event marks a significant turning point for the project before it completes the energization and gets ready for the Commercial Operations Date (COD).

Under the coordination between the Investor, the Operators, the Power transmission unit, and the Police of fire prevention and fighting unit of Soc Trang Province, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited implemented the energization and connection of Lac Hoa WPP project (30 MW)’s substation 110kV into the National Grid at 8 pm on May 14, 2023, with the transmission line of 4.5km in length.

The success of this energization work means great important milestone that decides to proceed the trial operation of the plant, the official connection to the National Grid, and pursue the COD for Lac Hoa WPP Project, which contributes to a clean, stable, and long-term electricity supply for Soc Trang Province, in particular, and for Viet Nam, in general speaking.

Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited and Wind Power Hoa Dong Company Limited collaborated with the Provincial Soc Trang Youth Union to sponsor and organize Tet event ” Xuan Bien Gioi, Tet Hai Dao 2023″, and give Tet gifts to 200 financially disadvantaged residents in Hoa Dong Commune, Khanh Hoa Commune, Soc Trang Province, Soc Trang City on 13 January, 2023.

Tet event “Xuan Bien Gioi, Tet Hai Dao 2023” received attention and responses from a large numbers of communities in Hoa Dong Commune, Khanh Hoa Commune, Soc Trang Province, Soc Trang City. Especially, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited and Wind Power Hoa Dong Company Limited made important contributions to implement the event with a total value of VND 175,000,000.

Gift packages were ready to be given to the local people 

Gift packages included essential and familiar necessities to the local people on Tet occasion. The gifts were not only to bring joy to the families but also to ease some of their difficulties on Tet holiday. This is the way for us to give more contribution to our communities and share the happiness to the financially disadvantaged people”.

During the Kich-Off ceremony for Youth Month 2022, held on 02 April 2022, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited and Wind Power Hoa Dong Company Limited partnered with the Soc Trang Provincial Youth Union to initiate the School Clean Water Program. This program provided and installed 14 water filtration systems across districts, towns, and cities in Soc Trang province, with a total investment of nearly VND 100 million.

Students are excited to have clean drinking water at school.

According to the plan, the “School Clean Water” program will provide 14 Mutosi Enrolas MP-E91S water filtration systems free of charge to eight schools across Vinh Chau district, Nga Nam district, My Xuyen district, My Tu district, Ke Sach district, and Soc Trang city during April 2022. Each filtration system has a capacity of 20L/hour, delivering direct drinking water that meets the highest NSF/ANSI 58 standards, certified by NSF – a WHO collaborating center for Food Safety and Drinking Water.

Through this program, the company has provided clean water access to approximately 4,000 students in Soc Trang province, contributing to addressing local clean water needs.

In addition to developing the Lac Hoa Wind Power Plant project, Wind Power Lac Hoa Company Limited prioritizes social welfare programs to support the local community. One of the most notable initiatives is the construction of Houses of Love for families facing significant hardships.

The year 2021 was particularly challenging as the country battled the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the hope of assisting residents in overcoming difficulties and stepping confidently into the future, the company collaborated closely with various levels of government and local leadership to build two Houses of Love for families in need.
